Submit images of art online at email@example.com before Sept 23, 2017. Include a JPG, (No PDF's) of image and details; Artist name, size of piece, medium, price (include gallery 30%) and year created. 2-D and 3-D art is accepted in all mediums. Exposed sides of canvases must be finished. All work must be ready to hang or display and include any special instructions. Submission of work constitutes consent by artist to allow work to be listed on website and used to promote exhibit. Every attempt is made to ensure that artwork is protected, cared for and returned in the condition that it was delivered in, however, artist is individually responsible to insure work to be exhibited if desired, Alder Grove Gallery accepts no responsibility for accidents and only covers artwork in the event of fire, flood or theft. Gallery will pay artist 70% of the price art work sells for. The selling price is the price that was submitted with entry. Artist will be contacted if a customer wished to negotiate on the price.
All art must be the work of artist submitting. Artist can submit a Bio and more information on pieces in exhibit.
Submissions are $10 per piece entered. Mail check made out to "Aberdeen Art Center" to 200 W Market St Aberdeen, WA 98520, or drop check off at gallery.
Notification of acceptance to exhibit is Sept 25, 2017
Art drop off at gallery is Sept 29 & 30 between 12pm and 6pm. Please do not leave packaging, we have no place to store it.
Opening Night is Oct 4 for the October First Friday Art Walk from 5pm to 8pm. Artists may want to be present and may set up a space to show and sell other art Oct 4 and Nov 3 art walks, (space is limited to first come first serve). Gallery will not ask for any commission on any artwork not in the exhibit that is sold by artist at gallery the day of the reception/artwalk.
Art pick up is Novemebr 24 & 25 between 12 and 6pm. Please bring packaging to wrap or protect your art. Checks will be paid for artwork sold within two weeks of art pick up.
Artists agree that by submitting their work to Alder Grove Gallery that the gallery will retain all control over submitted work until the pick up date at the end of the exhibit. Alder Grove Gallery has permission from the artist to use submitted works to promote the show and the gallery. Artists agree to leave their submitted artwork in the gallery until the posted art pick up dates. Artists agree that Alder Grove Gallery is not responsible for damaged art, every attempt is being made to safeguard artwork while in the gallery or in a Phantom Gallery. Artists acknowledge that they should acquire insurance to protect themselves from loss. Any artwork not picked up during the art pick up dates without gallery permission will begin to accrue storage fees and after 3 months is concidered abandoned and the property of Alder Grove Gallery to sell to cover costs.
